ROTC, Programming and Kung Hei Fat Choi

February 17, 2007

Today was the last of our ROTC lifestyle at our University. We had the Mangrove planting at Lasang, Davao City, and was participated by the ROTC cadets and officers. We filled up at about 4 busses and we filled it up good, we didnt felt like sardines in a can. Though, it was quite hot at where we went, we still had fun, since it was the last time, we will feel the ROTC life, and feel the friendship that the MP’s had for the past months (eating, chatting and having fun, were the MP’s work).

After the ROTC Mangrove planting, we had the Programming Contest Orientation. We talked about what to expect in the programming contest and triend some programming problems, which was really difficult. No, I.T. first years was able to get the problem correctly, which gave our teacher a bad feeling, and somehow Pressured us (or is it just me?).

Tommorow will be the first day of the Chinese New Year. So, Kung Hei Fat Choy! It’s finally the year of the Fire Me (Lol). And somehow, the Chinese Fung Sui masters says that those who were born on the year of the Snake (my year, 1989) will have a bad year, this year. Who knows? Im not chinese, I may not be in bad luck (I hope, Gulp).

Well. Thats my post today. Chow! Choy!

My Say about Valentines Day

February 15, 2007

Valentines Day. Or likely called as the day of hearts, is celebrated every 14th of February, and as said, it is celebrated by mostly lovers and something like that.

My say on Valentines day is that, Why Should it be celebrated only in the 14th of February, that it can be celebrated everyday of every month. Valentines day is just about being able to live a day with your special someone, or having a "special date" with your significant other. Why should it be special, that day only? Why couldnt it be special everyday? When you love someone, it should be that everyday is special, whenever and wherever you are with him/her.

My Valentines day is quite the same, year after year. Dates? Sure, I sometimes go out in dates, but not with a girlfriend, I go out with my Best Friends, cause I love them. In fact, it was on February 14 that we officially considered ourselves bestfriends (corny? not.) It is not only with significant others but with friends too.

I can’t quite have something to say on Valentines Day. Cause its like the same, just special.
