Philippines 20 years from Now!

March 3, 2007

Lets track back what Philippines is Now, before I could say anything that will relate to our country 20 years from now. Let’s see, the Philippines today is what we say, a very corrupt country, actually its the 2nd most corrupt country in the whole world. At least we have a rank of 2nd, we still cant make any firsts. Aside from being corrupt, we are suffering from mass poverty, still connects to the corrupt acts of the Filipino people. Philippines is very good in exporting and we are one of the top exporters of vegetables and goods, but importing is another story. We export many raw materials in other countries and we get processed canned food (which is made from our raw materials) and we have to pay double on what we exported. In short, Philippines is never good now, except for Sports.

Philippines 20 years from now may be very different. I mean, it will really be different but 20 years from now means 2027, and Im supposedly going to be a professional by that time. From the way I think about it, it will still be negative. Philippines may experience a very corrupt government, more from what it is today. Thinking about it, we could become first in the most corrupt list, since some of the corrupt countries are now going upwards on becoming honest (a little). Our law of supply and demand will still be intact, but we will still we will export raw materials to be imported back to us. Tourism may go down, since our prized possesion "The Hagdang-hagdang Palayan" is now, not very much taken care of.

Probablly we will still here the politicians words of promises, and promises are made to be broken. Whatever happens to the Philippines, it doesnt only mean that politicians are being back to their corrupt selves, but still we share the blame. Government officials and workers are having the most blames. Still, we should think about it. Will there still be a Philippines 20 years from now? Or will it become the 51st state of the USA? We hope so.
